more or less hours?
if i were to ask you :
"if you were asked to determine the number of hrs in a day, ie. you could vary the speed of revolution of the earth about it's axis, would you want MORE or LESS hours in a day?"
I used to tink of this qn, on and off, but i never really pondered over it before.
perhaps cos today's sunday, you might choose MORE.
i don't really know either
but here are some random thoughts
1. Live Longer? If there were LESS hours in a day, then you would be able to live up to 100 yrs old? But that's not
real...
2. More birthdays!!3. Movies? If there were more hours in a day, then they gotta change the rating. Like R15 or something.
4. Sleep? If there were less, for eg, 16hours in a day, would we adapt to only sleeping 4 to 6 hours a day? Or will we still sleep so much?
If there were 30 hours in a day, would we suddenly wake up in the middle of the night and say "i had enough....sleep!
5. Play?Iwishtheearthspinsfasteronweekdaysandmuchmuchmuchmuchsloweronweekendsthx
6. Eat?If there were only 12 hours in a day, do we adapt and eat 1 and a half meals?!
Or do we still eat 3 meals? Then we'd really be fat...
what if there were only 2 hrs in a day?
7. Are we fully adaptable?if there were 12 hours in a day, would we adapt into people who will sleep for 3-5 hours, walk, study, do homework and receive information at twice the speed, and spend half our time slacking and blogging?!??!
8. There might be people out there?!Mr Hon(<---physics) spent some time telling us about astronomy during our physics lecture awhile back
he said that the distance between the earth and the nx star(other than the sun) is, er, 4 light years away?
surely there might be some other place, some other galaxy,
1000000000000000000000000000 km aaaawwwwaaayyyyy
where there is another EARTH which revolves at twice the speed!!
yea and they'll be at the year 4012 AD now, if that earth formed at the same time as ours.
whoa, they'd probably have explored the whole of their own galaxy...and found methods to travel extreme distances!
one day they'll have a supertelespacecraft that can travel more than
1000000000000000000000000000 km
omg isn't that the distance between our galaxies
ahhhh! they've found us!
hahahahahahh
crapping like this is real fun you shud try it
