knowledge of maths for a very practical purpose : after i woke up in the afternoon, i asked shawn(yip) (the other shawn tan is my colleague) to play dota. he told me he was on the phone with edwin, and he would only play with us after he's solved his maths qns. of coz we could have played with ben and amos without him...but we knew we needed noobs around to balance up the game :)...heheh
soon lata edwin typed out the qn to me...and i really solved it. but he din keep his word. he typed another qn for me...but the (ii) and (iii) is jc never teach de. (his is poly qns) then i solved one more qn on prob for him.
it was interesting cos i have made at least 5 post in the past asking myself wad practical use is there in maths and science and slowly i try to make them appealing to myself and using in real life so i can appreciate them. (but wad about integration and how to titrate a solution?) before all that effort, the best thing i could say about them is to realise my dream. (get into uni)
but today i learn the use of knowledge is not only to be able to start a dota game...its also to help others...if didn't question the use of integration and titration, i wouldn't have wasted other ppl's time on me, or rather better so(if i had the ability to), spent time on others. if i had answered my own question sooner, things might have been a little different.
