i will work from 8am to 7pm from today onwards...and may kena OT every saturday. so i work abt 60 hrs a week excluding lunch hrs. its illegal but dun sue my boss cos i'll be jobless if you do. i dun get 1.5x OT pay cos im nt contract based. (din sign contract cos im a temp worker.)

parents always say zhuan qian xing ku. depend on nature of work bah. my work not xing ku, juz boring nia. i can tink of other things while doing indexing. if not i'll become brain-dead le.

if i can index 150 documents in 1.5hrs, i will index 2k documents in 20hrs. broadly speaking the cost of hiring someone like me to index one box of 2k documents will be 20 x $6.50(<--my hourly wage) = $130.

but if a lao jiao can index 150 documents in 1 hr, he will index 2k documents in 13 hrs 20mins. ceteris paribus, the cost of hiring that lao jiao to index that same box of documents is $86.67.

in school i took some time to uds the link from higher productivity = lower avg cost of pdn, but in the workplace is juz some common sense thing...

i am Hakka...Hakka ppl are suppose to be thrifty. but too thrifty = stingy. too thirfty can lead to weird behaviour. juz like my mother. and some ppl i know. i always say if u dun spend the money with yur fren, u keep it but u can't bring it when u leave this world...(sheng bu dai lai. si bu dai qu.)

and if you are working and tml is yur fren's birthday, will u take one day leave to celebrate it with him or her? if u are like got this economist thinking - explicit cost = cost of lunch and movie or dinner, implicit cost = the day's wages. total cost could be $70 or $80.

$80 for a birthday celebration u wan go anot? kinda gei gao character will make u become unfeeling...arbo u will think twice abt it also.

well. i will. u (YOU. minority being.) must have forgotten that friendship is priceless. (the most i volunteer for more OT if that money is for a very impt purpose as well.)

time to slp...nv even have much time to play game nowadays. but its ok. i have to work to atone for my sins/bad behaviour (play too much computer)

over lunch alan told us that xiaoxin (real name yuxin but somehow...) plays Audition at night

xx was the lao jiao that taught me indexing. and he does it really fast...flash.

alan is xx's clsmate so he know...that xx participated in some Audition competition and was one of the top sia. that's becos Audition is similar to indexing...see numbers and key in as fast as u can (issit? not sure)...and during work trained liao. lol sia. maybe i shud try Audition after im trained at indexing.
