i didn't drink coffee today, how come not feeling sleepy? actually im not really tired, juz that its quite hard to wake up sometimes and i can catch a nap on the MRT while leaning against the glass panel.
not the average person could take this job without complaints, and so everybody talks about quitting everyday. of course when i do say i wanna quit, im juz kidding. but some of my other colleagues are quite serious cos...honestly speaking 13hrs a day is too lengthy to endure. but if i do really quit, i will want to try relief teaching. and that's what two of my colleagues are seriously considering right now, and although one of them is shawn, i tink i wun put in extra effort to make him stay. i tink he's really suitable to be a teacher actually.
I have 2 O lvl colleagues taking their result tml. good luck to them!
several days ago, shawn's mother called up MOE and they said A lvl results will be out next friday. of course shawn is too honest to lie, and im considerably honest person...(but im a good liar)...so i was telling zq ytd, that will be it unless MOE is lying to shawn's mother or shawn's mother lied to shawn.
and, uh, me and shawn(only ppl like us would do such a thing) calculated Kodak's daily revenue in this project at HSBC INSC. but out of curiousity, would you take up a job that pays you ONE CENT for every image that you scan? factoring my scanning speed into consideration, I would even if i was paid 0.6 cents per image i scan. (if salary is totally based on yur productivity vol.)
we calculated that Kodak earns 1.7k everyday from our total average productivity - doc prep and scanning. a little less than half of that money translate into our daily wages for the 11 of us...O.o. other costs only include the techician, programmer, depreciation of machinery, stationary(not as negligible as you think), our boss' pay and the rest of it would be kodak's profits. but jenn told us its negative.
THANKS to ch for his mp3 becos it keeps me from stoning and feeling bored. listened to Fen Lie abt 30 times in the morning before switching to something else. different music really will remind me of very specific events and places that are deeply etched in a subconscious part of my memory which 'resonates' in response to it.
if that happens to you maybe you know what im talking about-
work is still too boring and too cruel to recall - wished there was a greater challenge to my capabilities but nevertheless i still try to do things quickly with my lousy i260 scanner. =(...it hates me. the frnt camera is spoilt (before i touched it of course) and jenn said its not going to be replaced cos it costs thousands to do so. with that, she actually allowed me to do 60% of shawn's scanning speed.
that is work - what's not is that i learnt that its really old but focusing and concentrating really gets things done faster and better, rather than multitasking. its true and i strongly believe in it now although i used to think otherwise. the most evident cases is when i sudddenly realised i was distracted/sunken in my thoughts for the past few mins and i will go back a few docs to check my work. one word = outrageous. focus is the way to go. (time seems to pass faster to a focused mind, too.)
