instead of feeling disgusted by the bloody and gruesome battle scenes in 300, i felt so bloodlusted, as if all i saw was real, as if i could pick up a sword and shield to FIGHT, and i'll, with every thrust, slash and stab, kill thousands of my enemies, and suffer no fatigue, feel no pain, till victory. SPARTAAAAAAAAAA!
but that's only for awhile, for i do fear death most of the time. =)
i calculated that, in the movie, each of the 300 finest spartan warriors killed a few thousands of persians. but that's not a spoiler i hope, since you'd have guessed that such is the nature of these heroic movies. i was just telling CH the other day while we were working that i've always liked to watch those battles where, even outnumbered, the heroes do not surrender; they fight till the end. eg. the mummy returns, the myth(jackie chan), and some in san guo yan yi too.
(who'd like to watch movies that are the other way round anyway? lol)
i just realised that you can know the outcome by reading certain movie descriptions O.o

work is getting bad, cos we're incensed over our boss' comments. and everybody wants to quit now. my boss does not possess bad character, i mean - i dun really blame her.
people may have done wrong due to their innate character or due to circumstances. in this case its the latter, and hence, i don't bear grudges for circumstances are usually uncontrollable. unless you're the one at the top.
(that said, i will, at times, bear a ultra long grudge against you - should you fault others or myself due to yur farked up character; or show nacceptable levels of disrespect, selfishness. only forgiveness will be bestowed upon you when the heart softens and appeals to the brain that's guided by principles even primary school students would know better.)
profits(or rather, money) dun go well with interpersonal relationships. jenn said we are slacking, from what she sees and hears from the hsbc staff. maybe cos we don't meet the quota of 42k images, i guess.
the reason we slack sometimes, i'd admit, is cos she said we can do so when we've met our quota. the 2nd reason is becos we're human. i wonder which reason will sound more unacceptable to our boss. the 2nd one?
our team is plagued with problems. for this week, there isn't a day where everyone turned up. this means the ones that actually do need to work harder, faster. yet, jenn gets some costs savings from those blank spaces in the absentee's timesheet.
then, hsbc staff demands alot on quality. while i do admit that our quality is not there, sometimes they're demands are too overboard, and sometimes mistakes occur due to their own error, but they expect us to rectify it. like i mentioned, i rescaned alot of boxes, so that was a day's loss of productivity.
yes! in actual fact, and ideally, we can meet the quota. in fact, i can scan half of that myself in a day. ideally, we don't converse, don't go pantry, don't go toilet, don't drink, and, if need be, don't go for lunch. and in doing so, even if i had a 0.1% error rate(ie. 99.9% quality images) i'd have made 20 image errors in a day.
GO hire ROBOTS!
well - i still tink we're invaluable to jenn. regardless of the big hoo-ha due to jenn's comments over the phone with xuming, i still broke my record(of total boxes) from 13 to 15 boxes yesterday. and tink of other gung-ho scanners and file preps too. we're leaving in a few weeks, and jenn's doesn't know how to treasure us. its probably a wrong move at this point of time to place more pressure on us, for we feel justified rather than guilty for our efforts - and took it as an insult.
"SLACK? WTF?"
